Claim (mechanism stance): the label "TB-500" is often used loosely. Endogenous Thymosin β4 is a full-length protein; a lot of research-grade "TB-500" refers to a fragment. Mapping claims about Tβ4 biology onto whatever is in a given vial requires reading the primary sources carefully — the STACKD profile (linked) lays out the distinction. Why it's a red flag: identity/purity confusion lets a marketing story borrow evidence that was generated for a different molecule. If a claim leans on Tβ4 papers, check that it's actually the same thing.
"TB-500" sold as research material isn't automatically the same molecule as endogenous Thymosin β4

Relevant source: - What it is: the STACKD profile notes on TB-500 vs Thymosin β4. - How it bears: it's the clearest example of "same name, not necessarily the same molecule" — a good template for spotting identity confusion elsewhere.
